I am a huge fan of weddings. Witnessing 2 people celebrate their love for each other in the presence of everyone who is most important to them, now that's what gives me goosebumps - all the feels! So for me, I see no greater honour than to be part of one of the most important days of a couples life in such a meaningful and memorable way.
Planning my own wedding was so much fun, and I knew I wanted a personalised ceremony that allowed for all of my own and my husband to be's unique ideas to be incorporated. It really mattered to us that our wedding was about sharing our love story as well as acknowledging those important to us and how much they had supported our relationship. And then we discovered that a humanist wedding was exactly what we were after, and we really weren't disappointed.
After the best day of our lives I was certain that I wanted to help others create the best day of their lives too. I was already working as a Clinical Psychologist, which at the very core involves being curious about people, understanding what makes people tick and helping people to live their best lives, so it really wasn't a big leap to becoming a Humanist Wedding Celebrant. And that's where my journey began...
When couples choose me to deliver their wedding ceremony, I do not take the role lightly. It really is a privilege being able to do this job. I can guarantee I will put my heart and soul in to every aspect of our journey together. I want nothing more than for your ceremony to reflect your relationship and everything that matters to you, after all that is what we are celebrating! So whether you are looking for a more traditional, formal and dignified occasion or perhaps something more informal, fun and even a little silly, I will be happy to ensure the ceremony is truly fitting for you both.
As a Humanist I believe we only have this one very precious life to live and I want to make the most of it. I value making a positive impact to the world and this is at the very heart of many of my life choices, including this wonderful work! I am also a little obsessed with animals and spend much of my free time in nature, but also keep being drawn back towards the busy, fun lifestyle of London.
I live on the borders of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire with easy access to London, but love travelling further afield and even abroad for weddings.
"Emily was absolutely incredible, guiding us through the process and working with us closely to create a truly personal & intimate wedding ceremony. Emily is an extremely talented celebrant and we would highly recommend her to anyone" Richard and David
"Thank you so much, from my husband and I. I can’t believe we finally did it. Two years after first contacting you, we finally celebrated and commemorated twenty years together with the perfectly put together ceremony you helped us create. Your approach was pitch perfect, from getting us to give you our own individual memories of our relationship to knitting them into something uniquely us. Your gentle advice when we were making decisions on vows was spot on and helped us get to the right choices. On the day itself there were happy tears and laughter during the ceremony. There were so many compliments afterwards about the ceremony and how well you delivered it. We are so glad we chose you to help us" Mike and Grant
"Thank you so much for everything on Saturday! You made it so personal and special for us both, and we had so many compliments from friends and family about the ceremony!"
